NJSLOM

The League of Municipalities home page is a valuable resource info on the hottest issues affecting municipal government in New Jersey. NJPO has been an affiliate organization of the League of Municipalities since 1939.

 

The New Jersey Association of Planning and Zoning Adminstrators is an affiliate of the New Jersey Planning Officials. The mission of this organization, among others, is to educate its members to the legal requirements of Planning and Zoning Administration and Public Employment and thereby promote a better under­standing of the official duties and obligations of its members.
Legislature

Check here for full text of bills, the state Constitution, legislators' pictures and biographies. Committee membership, legislative calendars, session digests, district maps. There's even a kids' page and an online tour of the Statehouse.

NJAPA
The mission of the New Jersey Chapter of the American Planning Association is to promote sound planning as a process and a body of knowledge essential to improving the quality of life of the citizens of New Jersey and all stakeholders with an interest in the state.

Bloustein
The main page for planning at Rutgers. Links to pages for the Center for Urban Policy Research, Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center, the Eagleton Institute of Politics, the Community Development Institute, the Center for Government Services and more.

NJ State
On Line New Jersey, the State's official web site. The site includes bulletins from the Governor, information on the legislature and links to governmental agencies.

NJDEP
A page linking to some of DEP's many divisions and offices: Division of Water Quality; Division of Fish, Game and Wildlife; and the New Jersey Geological Survey.

NJDCA
Cyburbia
This page is located at the University of Buffalo, School of Architecture and Planning. It is a superb collection of links to planning and architecture related pages. There are links for economic development agencies, historic preservation, building construction and technology, census information and more.

Syklands
A New Jersey Highlands based group that has tackled many issues from wireless communications to regional planning.


Trust
The Trust for Public Land (TPL) is a national, nonprofit, land conservation organization that conserves land for people to enjoy as parks, community gardens, historic sites, rural lands, and other natural places, ensuring livable communities for generations to come.






USEDA
This is "a compilation of American national, state, regional and local economic development planning agencies and programs."

ULI
The mission of the Urban Land Institute is to provide responsible leadership in the use of land in order to enhance the total environment. ULI’s mission is to provide leadership in the responsible use of land and in creating and sustaining thriving communities worldwide. 


NJ Future
New Jersey Future is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that brings together concerned citizens and leaders to promote responsible land-use policies.  The organization employs original research, analysis and advocacy to build coalitions and drive land-use policies that help revitalize cities and towns, protect natural lands and farms, provide more transportation choices beyond cars, expand access to safe and affordable neighborhoods and fuel a prosperous economy.

Planetizen
Planetizen is a public-interest information exchange provided by Urban Insight for the urban planning, design, and development community. It is a one-stop source for urban planning news, commentary, interviews, event coverage, book reviews, announcements, jobs, consultant listings, training, and more.

Now in its 20th year, the Planning Commissioners Journal is the nation's principal publication designed for citizen planners, including (but certainly not limited to) members of local planning commissions and zoning boards.
